Launching a new business

Background:

The Brand and strategic design consultancy was set up as a partnership of experts, which understands the link between business and creative. We were appointed to launch the business.

Activity:

We planned meticulously to ensure that the tone of voice of all press materials accurately reflected the business, and that our co-ordinated approach would maximise coverage. Our plan covered the agency’s first six months to build a momentum. Key journalists were briefed one-on-one about the agency and major industry issues. This immediately established their authority and credibility. We encouraged the partners to play a key role in the creative industry –speaking at D&AD and DBA events as well as their target sectors conferences. We also linked up with the RNID to produce a concept hearing aid, aimed at shifting perceptions of hearing aids from medical devices to fashion items - the result was displayed at the V&A.

Competitors and clients alike have commented that the brand and strategic design consultancy is “everywhere”. As the business has developed we have refined our approach, now focusing on issues-led activity, which has a direct and beneficial impact on their clients’ businesses.
